Hydraulic Universal Testing Machines (UTM )
Universal Hydraulic Tensile Test Machine is designed to test the ferrous materials for structural values such as yield strength and tensile strength. Apart from tensile tests, Universal Test Machines can also be used for compression tests up to the capacity of the machine.
Maximum security is maintained on 600kN capacity Universal Test Machine by limit switch on the lower grip and piston as well as the safety check valves on the hydraulic system. Hydraulic power unit works silently.
Hydraulic Loading Unit of Universal testing machines UTM consists of:
- Hydraulic power pack to develop adequate hydraulic pressure to be applied to the specimen under test
- Flow control valves to smoothly control the rate of loading
- Machine table which moves up and down with hydraulic ram
- Chain and sprocket mechanism with geared motor to control movement of middle crosshead
- Upper crosshead connected to machine table through plane columns
- Main screws for adjusting and controlling position of middle crosshead
